白奧蘭畢業於波蘭華沙大學,定居於台灣八年,是政大東亞所畢業的優秀學生。曾任波蘭通訊社駐臺記者,現任無國界記者組織(RSF)台灣分會會長。尤其關注東亞的政治社會議題與人權問題。過去四年,她積極參與支持本地媒體與記者的倡議活動,致力於推動新聞自由與改善媒體環境,這次講題還會觸及國際學生在台求學與求職的心路歷程,對於國際學生應該有所幫助。
For the past eight years, Aleksandra Bielakowska has been based in Taiwan, where she currently serves as the RSF Asia-Pacific Bureau Advocacy Manager and President of the RSF Taiwan Chapter. Aleksandra also used to work as the Taiwan Correspondent for the Polish Press Agency and research assistant in Taipei City Government. A graduate of the University of Warsaw and National Chengchi University in Chinese Studies and International Relations, her expertise centres on East Asia, with a special focus on China’s political and social issues as well as human rights. In the past four years, she has been actively engaged in campaigning in support of the media and journalists in China, including #FreeJimmyLai and #FreeZhangZhan campaigns.
Reporters Without Borders (also known under the French name Reporters sans frontières and its acronym RSF) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organisation that acts for the freedom, pluralism and independence of journalism and defends those who embody these ideals. RSF, established in 1985, has a recognised public interest function and a consultative status with the United Nations, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the International Organisation of the Francophonie and the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
